E-Visits provide clients of Delta Sleep Center of Long Island with a state-of-the-art experience. Please note, it requires a modern, standards-compliant browser (specifically one that supports the encrypted WebRTC protocol). We recommend a recent version of Google™ Chrome or a recent version of Firefox™. E-Visit is a telehealth patient-engagement platform that lets patients see their own doctors virtually over encrypted, HIPAA-compliant video chat.
ConsultationsDr. Lown meets, examines, and consults with each patient, delving into his or her medical and sleep history in order to discover the origin of the problem. It is imperative to meet each patient before deciding how the tests should be performed and what to investigate based on that initial consultation. Our clients are everyday people, from truck drivers to LIRR and swing shift employees.
Dr. Lown is not only a board-certified sleep medicine doctor, but a distinguished board-certified physician in internal medicine and lipidology. There are many causes for sleep problems, including medical conditions or co-morbidities. These must be ruled out or identified to design a plan that caters to your specific needs. Comprehensive treatment is not comprehensive without a sleep physician consultation.
In addition, we provide expertise in the treatment of insomnia. While we recognize that medication is a treatment option for some patients, it is not needed for many. Our professionals work closely with patients to change sleep habits, schedules, and other factors that interfere with a good night's sleep. Dr. Lown also has experience with cognitive-behavioral treatment of insomnia for those who want an alternative approach.
